Kevin and Renée in Shivers ice cream parlor, which
Kev's dad owns, which is close to the Six Flags where Renée
works. (Monster Mansion! I changed the logo a bit for my
liking, haa~) Anyhow, his family is proud of the variety of
flavors in the shop, and they do have a ton. And probably a
bunch nobody would ever wanna try. :T I tried not to nitpick
too much over stuff in this one and keep it a little bit loose, so
a big 'screw you' goes out to perspective and anatomy!
(jkjk, those things are important)

Design of the shop/counter was heavily informed by this image!
Which I think is the coolest counter I've ever seen.

This is such an endearing scene. I love detailed backgrounds and characters, really makes the story feel authentic.
The ice cream there looks pretty tasty; I'm sure nothing in Shivers is as disgusting as Horseflesh ice cream!

Haha, yes, it's called Basashi and is made by a Japanese ice cream company that's known for some of their more . . . crazy flavors.

The way you did the ice cream and the glass fascinates me. What was the process?

Thank you! (: Well, I just drew the ice cream first and on a separate layer above that, I drew the glass as off-white and lowered the opacity, then drew on top some shines and reflections and messed with the opacity on those to make it look a little more like glass. Sorry if that wasn't much help! x)
